I received my bachelor's degree in English from Augsburg College and a Masters in Education at the University of Minnesota with ESL licensure. I studied French Language and Theatre at the University of Avignon.
I completed my master's in Public Affairs at the Humphrey College at the University of Minnesota. In 2020, I renewed my National Board Certification in Primary Grades Literacy: Reading-Language Arts.
My professional background includes working in non-profit youth development as Program Manager where I recruited and trained volunteers and wrote project grants.
I have taught ESL at a private school on Cheju Island, Korea and a public high school in Zakopane, Poland, I have been working as an EL Teacher, Foundation Grant Coordinator, and Office of Multilingual Learning Program Coordinator for the past 20 years in The Saint Paul Public Schools.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in English, with a concentration in Translation and Interpretation from the University of Cordoba, Argentina. After college, I moved to Minnesota where I completed my ESL Licensure and Master of Arts in Teaching Degree at Hamline University.
I taught English in at Jardin English Center in Cordoba, Argentina for about 5 years.
In Minnesota, I have been an ESL teacher for 20 years and have taught in every single grade level! I worked as a Program Coordinator in the St. Paul Public Schools for 5 years before going back to teaching at LEAP High School.
I currently work as a Spanish Program Coordinator for the Immersion, Indigenous, & World Languages, Office of Teaching & Learning.
I was born in Argentina and have been living in Minnesota since 1997. I have two teenage children, Matthew (16) and Victoria (14). When I'm not working with immersion and dual language teachers and students, I can be gardening, traveling, or reading a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books.
